Adulthood Rites (Xenogenesis, #2)

Enjoyed this book, but not as much as Dawn. The first book is full of the creepy alienness of the new race as mediated through a normal, resistant human. This book shifts the perspective to an alien character and it's not as personal. Butler does an amazing job thoroughly exploring this weird other race, and the characters are sympathetic, it's just a little too distant for me.
