Dawn (Xenogenesis, #1)

Great creepy sci-fi. Really uncomfortable situation of humans being held as prey / captives / pets by powerful aliens. It has some of the same horror that the movie Alien does, only instead of being a dumb slasher film with sci-fi overtones it's a thoughtful human story with good characters and a strong sci-fi backbone. Good reading.
