Seeing Voices

Read this many years ago and appreciated the detailed view in to Deaf culture in America. Also just the basic respect for the people and the language; that's a minimal expectation but one so often not met. I distinctly remember the last chapter on the Deaf President Now movement and thinking how exciting that was. (Writing this review because ~20 years after reading the book I'm finally going to visit the Gallaudet campus. Yay!)
