The Absolute Book

The Absolute Snore. Sorry, I tried really hard to like this book. I soldiered through the first 60 pages where absolutely nothing out of the ordinary happens. I got through the next 150 pages where it starts to get interesting and fantastical. And was still bored and confused and lost after being a nearly third done. I've learned the hard way that if I don't like a book by the first third I'm unlikely to like it. A friend who did finish the book confirmed my fears. So I stopped.
