Well that was great. Devoured this book in a day. Had no idea what to expect going in and if something has convinced you to read this book, you should read it that way too. Skip the rest of this review. But if you still need convincing.. This book is a summary of the author’s contributions to the SCP Project about the idea of “antimemetics”, things or ideas that you cannot hold in your memory reliably. Very X-Files and mind-bendy. Reflecting in March 2022 this is one of the best books I’ve read in a long while. It’s fresh and inventive and full of interesting ideas. There’s some clumsiness in the structure, it could use more polish, but it’s a highly original and enjoyable book.
